Old-time piano concert to be held at UH

Jerry Perrine has performed his music throughout Southeast Michigan for nearly 40 years.

In addition to his piano playing, vocals and original compositions, he tells background stories of the classic American piano styles of ragtime, early jazz, blues and boogie-woogie. His concerts span the decades between the 1890s and the 1930s.

Perrine is a member of The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and through his years of music, he is certified as a Choctaw Artist.

He has played at the Michigan Jazz Festival and the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. On Thursday, he will play a free concert at University Hospital. Look for live stream video on Gifts of Art Facebook. And check out a video of Perrine playing Tiger Rag by clicking here!
