Description

From gaze-evoked to blast-induced tinnitus: Unique cases and novel treatments
Dr. Cacace is Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He is an Elected Fellow of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. His background is in the areas of clinical audiology, auditory electrophysiology, electroacoustics, psychoacoustics, and neuroimaging; his expertise has been focused in the areas of auditory processing disorders, tinnitus, and vestibular function/dysfunction. One important area of research has been neuroimaging associated with tinnitus as well as assessments of auditory and vestibular processing disorders and related cognitive impairment. A recent interest has been in the effects of blast on auditory and vestibular systems. His host: Richard A. Altschuler, Ph.D. All are welcome; refreshments will be provided.
