Coat the community in kindness this winter
All Michigan Medicine faculty and staff can show their warmth by donating new or gently-used coats, along with gloves, hats, scarves and mittens!
Between now and Nov. 9, there are boxes located across Ann Arbor, including the medical campus, where you can drop off donations.
“Last year, we collected nearly 250 winter coats,” said Donald Likosky, Ph.D., who helped organize the annual drive. “With the drive growing every year, we decided to add even more donation locations to make it easier for our employees to help those in the community.”
The boxes — which were decorated by students at the Rudolf Steiner School — are located at:
- UH South F2103 (near the Elevator 8 bank, by the MCHC Auditorium)
- CVC Wellness Center
- NCRC Building 16, 4th floor kitchen
- NCRC Building 14, G100 IHPI Scholars
- MSTCVS
- Rudolf Steiner High School
- Rudolf Steiner Lower School
Once the drive is over, Steiner students will collect the donations and organize the logistics of dispensing them to families in need through SOS Community Services in Ypsilanti.
