Duo two-factor authentication required beginning Oct. 10
Phishing attacks, data breaches and identity theft have become common issues plaguing health organizations the world over, including health systems and universities.
The most significant step the Michigan Medicine community can take to protect their data — as well as that of patients and research participants — is to use Duo with all web-based services that require a U-M login.
Michigan Medicine will turn on two-factor for Weblogin for all of its employees and sponsored affiliates (anyone with level-2 credentials) on Oct. 10.
You do not need to wait until Oct. 10 to gain the protection of Duo. All Michigan Medicine employees and and sponsored affiliates are encouraged to enroll in Duo before that date and turn on two-factor authentication for U-M Weblogin. Doing so, protects your payroll auto-deposit, W2 and other personal information.
