Top chefs join forces to raise funds for C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital
The Delta Air Lines hangar at Detroit Metro Airport will be transformed for an evening of inspiration, appetite and aviation at the CHAMPS for Mott Culinary Gala on Saturday, Sept. 29.
The gala, presented by Delta Air Lines and Lexus of Ann Arbor, will be hosted by celebrity chef, actor and U-M alumnus David Burtka. Burtka is best known for hosting “Celebrity Dish” on the Cooking Channel and for his role in the television series “How I Met Your Mother.”
The annual strolling dinner will feature culinary creations from some of the area’s top chefs along with live entertainment and an auction, all to support the development of a new hybrid operating room at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
This new hybrid operating room will combine the latest MRI and catheterization technologies with open surgery to provide safer, more complete care for the young patients who need it most.
Supporting this new hybrid OR will help U-M to improve outcomes and change the way it treats patients. And it will help the pediatric programs at Mott remain among the best in the nation, delivering the best opportunities for patients with the most complex cases.
Faculty and staff are able to purchase CHAMPS for Mott tickets at a discounted rate of $250 (maximum two). To purchase discounted tickets, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-763-1670.
