A free Zumba and line dance workshop will be offered Thursday in the University Hospital Courtyard.

This Thursday, faculty, staff, patients and families are invited to participate in a free, drop-in Zumba and line dance workshop. The workshop will be led by an MHealthy instructor, who will teach dance and aerobic movements to energetic music.

The choreography incorporates hip-hop, Latinx and other dance traditions from around the world. Approximately 15 million people take weekly Zumba classes in more than 200,000 locations across 180 countries.

Two more exercise and relaxation workshops in the courtyard will be offered this summer: A sampler class on Aug. 2 and Tai Chi and Meditation on Aug. 9.

The workshops are family friendly and perfect for all fitness levels and abilities; no prior experience is required. A shaded patio is available for people to participate in chairs or wheelchairs.
