Workshop revamp: Early career kickstart for all faculty tracks
You asked, the Office of Faculty Development listened! The office has revamped its “How to Be Successful as a New Faculty Member” workshop to include three individualized workshops for the three faculty tracks: Instructional, clinical and research.
Early career kickstart workshops are intended as a follow-up to the monthly new faculty orientation. Orientation gives faculty the information to get started at Michigan. In this follow-up session, there will be a specific focus on expectations for advancement and career planning within each of the three tracks.
Intended Audience: Medical school faculty who have been at the organization for at least 3-6 months
Why: Introduction to numerous resources that will further support faculty’s development
Instructional track sessions (2 sessions/year)
Next session: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sept. 24, BSRB Seminar Rooms, first floor
Clinical track sessions (4 sessions/year)
Next session: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., Oct. 18, BSRB Seminar Rooms, first floor
Research track sessions (2 sessions/year)
Next session: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., Aug. 14, BSRB Seminar Rooms, first floor
These workshops are hosted by the Office of Faculty Development, and is for faculty only.
