Mary Collins is a young singer-songwriter born and raised in Ann Arbor.

Her music weaves together graceful melodies and intricate guitar lines to create honest, emotional songs. Growing up she was heavily influenced by bluegrass and folk artists, listening to James Taylor, Nickel Creek, and Peter, Paul & Mary on every family road trip.

She studied guitar with local U-M alums Theo Katzman and Chris Dupont, began writing songs and hasn’t stopped since! She is currently a senior at Huron High School, where she is involved in choir and theater.

On Thursday, May 31, Collins will perform a free concert for faculty, staff, patients and visitors:

When: 12:10 p.m. – 1 p.m., Thursday, May 31
