Bob Sweet trio to perform at Michigan Medicine
Having been part of the southeastern Michigan jazz scene for decades, these three musicians — Bob Sweet (drums), Kurt Krahnke (bass) and Tad Weed (piano) — bring a wealth of experience steeped in the unique flavor of the Detroit jazz tradition. Weed, for instance, has performed with some of the greatest names in jazz including John Patitucci, Mundell Lowe, Carmen McRae, Charles Lloyd and Woody Herman.
When they perform, expect fresh, creative group interplay and distinctive treatments of classic and lesser known jazz standards.
This week, Michigan Medicine faculty and staff can hear their work during a free concert live at University Hospital!
When: 12:10 p.m. – 1 p.m., Thursday, May 10
Where: UH main lobby, floor 1
See you there!
