Hot jobs: Medical assistants, call center representatives
The new Brighton Center for Specialty Care is looking for medical assistants (MAs) and call center representatives to join a team that is committed to enhancing Michigan Medicine’s impact in the area!
MAs play a major role in any patient’s experience at Michigan Medicine. They are often an individual’s first point of contact in the clinic and are tasked with taking vital signs, drawing blood and preparing specimens for analysis in the lab.
Being engaging, friendly and organized are just a few of the most important traits of a successful medical assistant. Often, MAs also help maintain and update patient medical records, complete insurance forms and ensure equipment in the clinic is in working order. In short, a successful clinic is only possible with the help of a dedicated MA!
Are you or someone you know interested in joining the Brighton team as a medical assistant? And have you previously worked as an MA or completed an MA training program? If so, email your resume and contact information to talentteam@umich.edu.
Call center representative
For many patients, their first interaction with Michigan Medicine will be with a call center staff member.
Call center representatives help schedule appointments and coordinate physician referrals. They also serve as the liaison between patients and internal Michigan Medicine personnel, taking great care to look into and respond to any concerns a patient or family member may have. The patient experience often begins long before the patient arrives on site, and a knowledgeable, friendly call center representative can make all the difference.
