12W earns patient safety honor

The faculty and staff of 12W.

Congratulations to the faculty and staff of 12W, who were recently honored for their dedication and commitment to patient safety.

The unit earned a 365 Days of Safety award for going a full year without a Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection, also known as a CLABSI.

The 365 Days of Safety Award recognizes outstanding practice within a patient care unit, area, clinic or department which resulted in the avoidance of patient harm and health care-acquired conditions for 365 consecutive days. The award also demonstrates the sustainability of the associated patient safety practice.
