Sign up to take on cancer with MRelay
On Saturday, April 7, thousands will come together at Palmer Field to support the fight against cancer at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, known on campus as MRelay. The event, held across the country and around the world, is the world’s largest fundraiser to save lives from cancer.
Last year, the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center had its first teams participate in MRelay. This year, participation is being sought from employees across Michigan Medicine, and you could create a team to participate!
You can sign up for MRelay by clicking here. MRelay is a fundraising event and the site includes instructions for raising money. If you prefer not to raise money, that’s OK too. You can show your support just by participating.
Then, on April 7, show up with your team, your family and your friends, ready to walk and be inspired. The event is like a carnival, with tents set around the track featuring games, activities, performances and speeches. You can stay for as long as you like, with the event lasting from 10 a.m.to midnight.
MRelay is also the perfect opportunity to remind the broader university community of the groundbreaking and vital work being performed at Michigan Medicine. We hope you’ll consider forming a team among your work unit.
