You’re invited: Central Endoscope Reprocessing Department open house
Reusable endoscopes are in widespread use throughout Michigan Medicine, as they play important roles in a number of procedures, including intubations, bronchoscopies, gastroscopies, colonoscopies, cystoscopies and hysteroscopies.
To help prevent infections and enhance patient safety, the organization is creating a centralized endoscope reprocessing department. The group will be responsible for reprocessing approximately 300 endoscopes on the main medical campus.
The department invites all faculty and staff to tour the new department’s state-of-the-art equipment and technology at an open house event on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
