Faculty interested in exploring the U-M Medical School’s promotion and tenure process are invited to attend the winter faculty meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Danto Auditorium in the Frankel Cardiovascular Center.

Margaret R. Gyetko, M.D., senior associate dean for faculty and faculty development, will present “Promotion and Tenure: Strategies for Success.”

Gyetko will outline the faculty promotion process, provide a description of what should be included in a promotion package and include suggestions for preparing for promotion. She also will present the new changes to promotion criteria for the clinical track and help faculty understand what they should be doing right now if they are seeking promotion.

Junior faculty members are strongly encouraged to attend this presentation as it will give them valuable information as they begin to navigate the promotion and tenure process.

A light reception will follow. The session will be recorded for those unable to attend.
