Happy holidays, Michigan Medicine!

December 22, 2017  //  FOUND IN: Strategy & Leadership,

As we near the end of 2017, I want to thank you for the tremendous work and valuable contributions you have made to Michigan Medicine — this year and in years past. As an organization, we have spent much time on strategy development and implementation across all of our missions. In the end, though, it is our people — all of you — who define the spirit and culture that allow us to deliver the best possible health care to our patients and families.

I thank you for your individual contributions, but also for the teamwork across our patient care, research and education missions. Appreciating and collaborating with different perspectives leads to the innovations and discoveries that will further evolve how we deliver the best care, train and mentor our learners, and push the bounds of science and research. The many examples of excellence that I’ve seen throughout the year reflect the inclusivity and mutual respect that make for the most productive collaborations.

As we look to 2018, I am very optimistic about our future at Michigan Medicine. I sincerely appreciate and value your dedication, commitment and engagement, and look forward to working together next year.

Wishing you and your loved ones safe and happy holidays.
