Want to learn how to put a healthy twist on some classic Thanksgiving dishes, or how to turn a piece of fruit and some yogurt into a tasty treat? Just visit the Healthy Eating Tip of the Month display in the UH cafeteria to learn all about how to create a healthy Thanksgiving dinner.

While many have been craving turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for an entire year now, the holiday is more about cherishing the company and health of friends and family. Many traditional holiday meals are loaded with carbohydrates, which people with diabetes need to limit in order to control their blood glucose levels. Luckily, people with diabetes do not have to miss out on their favorite dishes or desserts.

Pick up some brochures to get new recipe ideas and enter for a chance to win your own yogurt maker!

Thanksgiving is a perfect opportunity to take stock, to appreciate and to express gratitude. Support the people you care about by helping them enjoy a healthy Thanksgiving dinner.
