Michigan Medicine faculty and staff are invited to participate in a webinar focused on the social determinants of health for LGBTQ individuals.
The series — which is comprised of two parts — is specifically designed for case managers, peer navigators, health care workers and other enabling services staff members.
The topics will touch on structural stigma, housing, employment, education and legal support, as well as ways to engage in partnerships with LGBTQ community-based organizations.
Part 1 will take place on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., and will be hosted by Jessica Flaherty, manager of the HIV/AIDS prevention programs at the Fenway Institute. Part 2 is scheduled for Dec. 14.
