Emergency medicine leads the way in NIH-funded projects

According to the National Institutes of Health project reporter, U-M is leading the way in NIH emergency medicine-funded research projects.
The organization’s emergency medicine team holds 21 of 122 grants and $9.4 million of the total $45.33 million in emergency medicine funding, or 20.8 percent. The second largest university in project total is Oregon Health & Science University with nine projects ($3.4 million in funding), and the second largest university in funding is University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with $5 million (two projects funded).
