Michigan Medicine named Best and Brightest ‘elite winner’ for employee recognition programs

Michigan Medicine has once again been named one of the “Best and Brightest” companies to work for in Metropolitan Detroit.

The recognition was handed down by the National Association of Business Resources for the organization’s commitment to excellence in human resources and employee enrichment.

In fact, Michigan Medicine was deemed an “elite winner” for its employee achievement and recognition programs.

“Our employees are incredibly dedicated and committed — making it a privilege for us to recognize everything that they do,” said Rich Holcomb, acting chief human resources officer. “I am confident that our faculty and staff’s hard work and talent will ensure Michigan Medicine remains among the Best and Brightest companies to Work For well into the future.”

Among the recognition programs that Michigan Medicine was lauded for:

  • Making a Difference awards, which honor individuals who perform their work in an outstanding manner. Recipients are nominated by colleagues, patients, family members, students or visitors.
  • Organization-wide recognition events, including the annual Ice Cream Social and Employee Appreciation Breakfast.
  • Honors within individual units, including Employee of the Month awards and bulletin boards where individuals can recognize their colleagues.
  • Observances of national occasions, such as Nurse Appreciation Week and Administrative Professionals Day.
