Update: Faculty and staff travel registry

Please be advised of some upcoming changes to the U-M faculty and staff travel registration policy.

In partnership with ITS, the Provost's office will transition the Faculty & Staff Travel Registry from Wolverine Access to a secure, cloud-based system. The new system will utilize the same vendor software that has proven successful with the university’s M-Compass global and engaged learning system and the student travel registry.

The upgraded system will continue to serve all faculty and staff from the Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses, as well as Michigan Medicine, and will meet the registration requirements of SPG 601.31 on International Travel.

These changes will streamline the registration process for faculty and staff and provide the travel health and safety team with more robust communication tools, such as the ability to directly text travelers in the event of an overseas emergency. 

In addition, faculty and staff on U-M related international travel will be able to access the U-M travel abroad health insurance business plan directly from the registry, eliminating the need to enroll in the plan through a separate step on the provider website.

The Faculty & Staff Travel Registry will still be accessible from the Global Michigan web page by clicking here and from the Wolverine Access Gateway.   

The updated system will go live on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
