Join U-M and JDRF to fight type 1 diabetes
Join Michigan Medicine and JDRF on Sunday, Sept. 24 to help raise awareness and funds for the JDRF One Walk to Cure Diabetes!
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease that impacts millions of people around the world.
JDRF is the leading global organization that funds research to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes. As a Platinum sponsor, Michigan Medicine is partnering with JDRF to help raise awareness as well as funds for T1D research.
One Walk to Cure Diabetes
- When: Sunday, Sept. 24
- Where: Hudson Mills Metropark, Dexter
- Registration: 8:30 a.m.
- Start time: 9:30 a.m.
- Length of walk: 3 miles
Sign up for one of the existing U-M teams or simply join the Michigan Medicine team “U-M Michigan Medicine.”
Select the One Walk page, sign in to search U-M or UM under Join a Team and choose your team.
Click here to register today.
Register to walk (or be a virtual walker if you can’t attend on walk day) and raise at least $25 to receive a special U-M walk t-shirt (while supplies last).
Register by Sept. 17 with at least $50 raised to be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to see the U-M hockey team play Ferris State on Friday, Nov. 3.
Register and raise at least $250 by Sept. 17 to be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the U-M football game against Minnesota on Saturday, Nov. 11.
