Reminder: Apply for mini-grants to promote diversity, equity and inclusion on campus

At Michigan Medicine, faculty and staff are critical to creating a climate where all members of the community feel welcomed and supported. Indeed, a diversity of perspectives leads to a more enriching and beneficial environment for patients, families, colleagues and students.

To support these efforts, the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion is offering another round of mini-grants to help promote diversity, equity and inclusion in your department or unit.

All faculty, staff and learners can apply for a mini-grant for up to $5,000.

The grants are designed to acknowledge, inform, reinvigorate and refocus departmental and unit efforts on fostering a respectful environment among individuals with different backgrounds and viewpoints. With each application, OHEI is looking for creative approaches to address existing problems, with anticipated positive impact on the organization as a whole.

Grants can be submitted online through Sept. 29 and the award recipients will be announced in November.
