Combining a passion for painting and a love of nature, Catherine McClung has shown her work in the Ann Arbor Art Fair since 1980.

In both Michigan and Florida, she walks every day observing and photographing birds to use as a reference for her watercolor paintings. Over a two-year period, she created paintings of all of the 33 birds mentioned in the Bible.

McClung has also created china patterns for Lenox tableware.

In 2002, the Michigan Governor’s office asked her to represent the state by designing an ornament for the White House Christmas tree. Now, her work can be seen at Michigan Medicine.
