Children’s Emergency Services was recently honored with the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association.

Congratulations to Children’s Emergency Services, which recently won the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association for the second time in a row!

The Lantern Award is a recognition given to emergency departments that exemplify exceptional practice and innovative performance in the core areas of leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research.

The award is a symbol of a department’s commitment to quality, pledge to create a healthy work environment and accomplishment in incorporating evidence-based practice into emergency care.

Similar to the ANCC Magnet recognition, the Lantern application is driven by nursing, but reflects the participation of all disciplines, along with patients and families.

Thank you to all faculty and staff who worked hard to earn this award and provide tremendous patient-centered care each and every day!
