Update: CVC bridge connector detour project

May 11, 2017  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Good news! The maintenance work on the floor 3 bridge connector between the Frankel Cardiovascular Center and UH South was completed ahead of schedule!

That means the connector is now open to traffic, personnel and equipment.

Please be advised that a second bridge connector project is scheduled to begin late next week. The work will require the bridge connector walkway on floor 2 (between CVC and the Cancer Center) to be closed temporarily.

The facility work is needed to meet current building regulatory requirements.

During the duration of the project, it will not be possible to maintain any personnel or equipment passing through the connector. However, signage will be posted to direct people to alternate routes and paper maps will be provided. Volunteers will also assist with wayfinding.

Here is what you need to know:

CVC floor 2 bridge connector closed to the Cancer Center

When: 5 p.m., Friday, May 19 through 5 a.m., Tuesday, May 30

Alternative route: Floor B1 connector between CVC and University Hospital

Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
