Workshop: Improve your scientific writing

The Program for Neurology Research and Discovery and the Office of Faculty Development are pleased to offer a workshop presented by Phillip Leventhal, Ph.D., editor-in-chief of Medical Writing.  

Through a combination of lecture and exercises, participants in this workshop will receive an introduction to medical and scientific writing for journals and grants including:

  • How to start and move forward, from problem statements to outlines to a logical text
  • Techniques to clarify writing at a sentence, paragraph and document level
  • How to guide your reader with visual elements

Participants will then put these into practice through group or full-class exercises.

When: Monday, July 31

Time: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. (Breakfast and lunch will be provided)
