Reminder: Share your voice in all-staff climate survey

April 10, 2017  //  FOUND IN: Strategy & Leadership

The university recently launched an all-staff climate survey to gauge diversity, equity and inclusion across campus. Now it’s up to you to share your voice in assessing key climate issues.

All staff received a unique link from the third-party research firm SoundRocket with participation instructions and reminder emails are being sent to those who have not yet completed it. Please note that the reminder emails may come from an individual, eg. Scott D. Crawford, as opposed to SoundRocket. The survey takes only about 15 minutes to complete and all responses are strictly confidential.

The deadline to take the survey is Tuesday, April 18.

“We are very hopeful we will get strong participation from all aspects of the university community,” said Rob Sellers, the university’s chief diversity officer. “We’re constantly looking for ways to make U-M better for everyone, so hearing directly from the staff about what impacts them is the best way to determine what we’re doing well and how we need to improve upon the things we’re not doing so well.”

Faculty and students will be invited to participate in a similar survey in the fall of 2017.

The survey results will be available in September and will provide unit-level data to help individual areas address issues related to the ongoing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategic plan.

All Michigan Medicine staff members are encouraged to take the survey to help reach the institutional goal of 75 percent or above participation. If you need assistance or an accommodation to complete the survey, email or call 734-527-2199.

Be part of the many voices that make our Michigan!
