Patient Education ForUM to focus on health literacy

All Michigan Medicine clinicians and staff are invited to attend the next Patient Education ForUM on Wednesday May 10 from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. 

The event features Christopher Trudeau, J.D., law professor from the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Trudeau will discuss the laws and regulations that support integrating health literacy into health systems. 

Heidi McCoy, project manager at Clinical Design and Innovation and Sangeeta Vijayagopalan, administrative fellow, will also present their work leading the development of comprehensive guidebooks for patients undergoing joint replacement therapy.

The ForUM will be held at the Rachel Upjohn Building Auditorium at 4250 Plymouth Rd. on the East Medical Campus.

1.25 Nursing Contact Hours (CNE) will be provided to attendees.
