As part of the department’s National Nutrition Month celebration, Patient Food and Nutrition Services — or PFANS — is proud to recognize the excellence in patient care, education and research provided by the clinical pediatric registered dietitian nutritionists employed at Michigan Medicine.

More than 20 clinical pediatric RDNs provide specialized patient and family-centered medical nutrition therapy throughout C.S. Mott Children’s and Von Voigtlander Women’s hospitals. Many serve as instructors and preceptors for the PFANS Dietetic Internship Program.

Michigan Medicine clinical pediatric RDNs regularly present at national conferences and host three pediatric nutrition practicums highlighting innovative care in ketogenic diets, neonatal nutrition, and infant and pediatric feeding processes management showcasing the Milk Room in C&W. More information is available by clicking here.

In November, the clinical pediatric RDNs in PFANS will also host an Infant and Pediatric Nutrition Specialty Conference, which will feature an array of experts in pediatric nutrition.
