Help celebrate partnership of art, science
Join a community of artists and scientists for the Taubman Institute’s Evening of Art+Science project on Wednesday, March 29 at the U-M Museum of Art. The event will be full of free-flowing talk about how ideas and theories take shape, whether in the laboratory or in the studio.
Now in its fourth year, the project connects two dozen leading contemporary artists with U-M’s most eminent biomedical researchers for conversations about the intersection of discovery and creativity in their respective disciplines.
The connections inspire one-of-a-kind, boundary-breaking works of art that capture the genius of both worlds.
In April, the artwork will be auctioned at a ticketed gala to benefit groundbreaking cancer research at U-M.
In this March 29 preview lecture, one of the artist-scientist pairs — Alison Wong and Rajesh Rao, M.D. — will share what they have learned from this innovative and enriching partnership.
All Michigan Medicine faculty and staff are welcome for the lecture, a Q&A and refreshments:
When: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 29
Where: U-M Museum of Art, 525 S. State St., Ann Arbor
