The Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems, or HILS, program is hosting on-site and virtual open houses in April.

HILS is a unique, interdisciplinary MS and Ph.D. program which aims to improve the health of individuals and populations by developing researchers who design, implement and evaluate innovative change and continuous improvement in health systems.

HILS is housed in the U-M Medical School’s Department of Learning Health Sciences, a first-of-its-kind basic science department focused on learning at all levels of scale, from individuals to systems spanning states and nations.

A brand new program, HILS matriculated its first students in the fall of 2016. MS applications may be submitted through May 31 to start the program in the fall of 2017. Ph.D. applications are due December 1 to begin in the fall of 2018.
