The innovative U-M Healthcare Administration Scholars Program — or HASP — is making a call for applications.

This program will provide participants with a longitudinal training (20 month mini-fellowship) experience concentrating in the area of health care administration. This training is open to all U-M house officers (residents and fellows).

The primary goal of HASP is to better prepare graduates to assume and succeed in academic positions with a focus in health care administration at leading academic medical centers. Additionally, the program will allow participants to establish strong mentoring relationships in their chosen area of study, a network for future collaboration, and will serve as a stepping stone to pursue further graduate study if desired. Program participants will begin to develop the knowledge base and skill set required for them to be successful as the next generation of physician leaders.

The program is currently recruiting and accepting applications through 5 p.m., Friday, March 3. Applicants and programs will be notified by Monday, March 13.

The application forms, which include a more detailed description of the goals, objectives, and the structure of the program can  be found at the program's website.
