Wolverine Caucus: 3D Miracles in Medicine

Miracles continue at Michigan Medicine, where the University of Michigan is using 3D printing to aid patients receiving customized medical implants and applications and where 3D printed tracheal splints have also helped to save the lives of infants and young children.

Drs. Chris Dickinson, Glenn Green, and Kyle VanKoevering will describe the advanced innovative programs at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and the VonVoigtlander Women’s Hospital, that serve the residents of Michigan and beyond. Also, by combining a state-of-the-art children’s hospital with a women’s birthing hospital, specialists in surgery, pediatrics, anesthesia, and obstetrics are brought together to help repair congenital conditions while the baby is still in the womb.
