To assist the Michigan Medicine community with AirWatch and other wireless network connections, Health Information Technology & Services — or HITS — teams will be offering “pop-up” clinics in the Towsley Triangle area of the hospital on Fridays, beginning this Friday, Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

These clinics are meant to help with enrolling in AirWatch or identifying alternative WiFi network options such as MWireless. HITS staff will be in the Triangle on the following Fridays:

  • Jan. 13, 20, 27
  • Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24
  • March 3, 10, 24, 31 (there is no clinic on March 17)

For additional in-person assistance with AirWatch and MWireless, users on the hospital campus can also visit the new HITS “Help Me Now” location in Towsley Center, Room G2413, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Service Desk is also always available for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 734-936-8000, and select option 9.

AirWatch is the system provided to faculty and staff that offers the required security protocols to join the UMHS-8021X wireless network. Effective April 27, only “CoreImage” and AirWatch-enrolled personally-owned or non-Michigan Medicine devices will be able to connect to this network. MWireless provides internet and library access, but it does not allow access to internal health system websites and resources.
