Plan ahead: Athletic event to affect commuter parking

Please be advised that the athletic department is hosting a Football Signing Day event at Crisler Center on Wednesday, Feb. 1, that may affect parking on the athletic campus. Plan ahead if you typically leave your car in the area.

Here's what you need to know:

• The event is scheduled from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, with doors opening at 11 a.m.

• Attendees have been instructed to park at the Pioneer High School Park & Ride lot, but overflow parking on the athletic campus will be available

• Parking enforcement will be suspended for several athletic campus lots, including SC6 and SC7

• If you typically park in the SC6 or SC7 orange lots, and typically arrive between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., it is suggested that you consider parking in SC35 — an unenforced yellow lot — or SC36, an orange lot. Both of those lots are near the commuter bus stop at Kipke Dr. and Greene St.
