Keep track of your policy review due dates

Last summer, the Michigan Medicine Compliance Office implemented a new process and related tools for managing health system policies.

As part of that new process, responsibility for tracking review/revision dates was transferred to policy owners and their responsible leaders as defined in UMHS Policy 01-01-001, Development, Review and Approval of UMHS Policies. The tools are accessible from the Policy Table of Contents page in the right side navigation box under “Policy Owner Tools & Resources.”

The spreadsheets are updated monthly. Overdue policies are highlighted in red.

Please note that the Joint Commission assesses our compliance with the three-year review requirement as well as with the policy content itself. It’s therefore very important that we review and update policies on time.
