Changes made to U-M international travel policy

Over the past 18 months, the university conducted a review of its international travel policy. A few changes were implemented as a result of the review.

The changes to the policy include clarifications to the original policy based on several years of experience in applying it, and the most important matters remain: Faculty, students and staff should register their travel and should carry U-M's international health and evacuation insurance, and education abroad programs should be approved by the leadership of the sponsoring units.
