Attend pediatric trauma injury prevention Safety Soiree

As a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital cares for the most severely injured children in Washtenaw County and throughout the State of Michigan. Because of this, the Pediatric Trauma Program serves as the primary injury prevention center for children in the region and beyond.

The impact of reducing pediatric injury is achieved by developing comprehensive injury prevention programs that target children, cargivers, community members and education partners. This is achieved by multiple means, including but not limited to: in-person educational activities, attendance at community events, implementation of nationally-reconized injury prevention programs and regularly scheduled safety events.

Mott is the lead agency for Safe Kids Huron Valley, a coalition of Safe Kids Worldwide, a nonprofit organization whose aim is to reduce pediatric injury. Safe Kids Huron Valley includes not only staff from Mott, but also community members and groups with interests in safety initiatives.

Join community members at the upcoming Safety Soiree, an awareness event showcasing the efforts of the Mott Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program and Safe Kids Huron Valley.

Enjoy appetizers and networking while learning more about what we do and how you can play a role in keeping the children in our community safe.
