Applications sought for Postdoctoral Translational Scholars Program
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Postdoctoral Translational Scholars Program, or PTSP. This program is open to individuals with Ph.D. degrees in biomedical science, engineering or social science disciplines who are interested in additional training in translational sciences.
The PTSP is designed to prepare individuals for independent careers in translational research and the award provides trainees with an $85,000 career development award to be used over two years. Applicants will work under the direction of a mentoring team that consists of a mentor from the Ph.D. discipline as well as a clinical mentor. The application is loosely based on an NIH “K” grant format and includes a career development plan.
Applications are due Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. More details are available here.
The PTSP is offered by the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR)
MICHR is very happy to offer advice and assistance with proposal development. Contact information is available on the website.
