Workshop: Teaching the problem medical learner

In this 90 minute session, general educational faculty will work with GME learners to improve their confidence in working with “challenging learners.”

The workshop will be help faculty members develop an internal framework that will allow them to better: 

  1. Categorize the learner’s areas of challenge 
  2. Diagnose your learner  
  3. Address an underlying deficiency using a variety of tested educational methods

The session is facilitated by Laura Hopson, M.D., assistant professor of emergency medicine; Meg Dobson, M.D., assistant professor of family medicine; and Anna Dubovoy, M.D., assistant professor of anesthesiology.
