Schedulon software set to be upgraded

October 27, 2016  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Schedulon is the room and resource scheduling service used throughout UMHS to reserve conference rooms, shared space, event space and more. On Wednesday, Nov. 9, Health Information Technology & Services is planning to upgrade Schedulon to the newest version of the software.

After the upgrade, using Schedulon will be a more intuitive experience, similar to using a shopping cart at Amazon. Individual access to rooms will not be affected and all current features will remain available.

Please be advised that in order to upgrade the system, Schedulon will not be available on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

What’s new:

  • A new tab, “My Home,” displays your assigned reservation templates. No more looking under menus for the space you want to reserve! Additionally, all of your current and future bookings appear below your assigned templates. You can also filter your events by date, location or time.
  • Enhanced links allow you to browse events and locations assigned to specific groups more easily.
  • User personalization lets you set your favorite rooms and templates for easier, quicker booking of space.
  • A mobile device app is due to be released later this year.
