Help our Washtenaw County neighbors by participating in the annual Michigan Harvest Gathering food drive. The ongoing event, which runs through Nov. 4, is sponsored by the Michigan Hospitals and Health Association.

All donated food and money will be given to Food Gatherers, the food bank serving the hungry in Washtenaw County. Donations of non-perishable foods and/or money (with checks made payable to Food Gatherers) will be collected at different sites throughout the health system. Please note that glass containers or outdated items are not acceptable.

On Friday, Oct. 28, representatives from Patient Food and Nutrition Services will be in the Mott/UH/Towsley Connector Link from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to receive monetary donations. Individuals who donate will received a complimentary bag of popcorn as a token of appreciation.

This food drive is one way UMHS helps improve the health of our community and every dollar makes a difference. For more information and a list of UMHS collection sites, visit the food drive website or email Thank you for your support!
