The 21st Annual Raymond W. Waggoner Lecture on Ethics & Values in Medicine will be highlighted by Jeffrey Swanson, Ph.D., MA.
Swanson, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University, will give a talk on “Gun Violence, Mental Illness and the Law: Balancing Risk and Rights for Effective Policy.” He is currently the principal investigator of a multi-state study on firearms laws, mental illness and the prevention of violence.
