Class aims to help clinicians access educational materials at UMHS

Do you have difficulty accessing patient instructions or educational materials? If so, there is a perfect class for you.

“Keep calm! You don’t need Sherlock to find standardized patient-education materials at UMHS” is a two-hour hands-on class on utilizing standardized and approved patient instructions and educational materials at UMHS.

Participants will learn how to access materials from different access points, including through MIChart, the patient education clearinghouse and through the clinical and internal homepages. Participants will also learn how to refer their patients to access UMHS-approved materials from home. Instruction methods will include a combination of presentation, demonstration and hands-on exercises.

All health system clinicians including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician-assistants, dietitians, respiratory therapists, social workers and any staff member engaged in patient education are welcome to join this class.
