Workshop: Teaching in the OR and other procedures
This interactive workshop is designed to assist clinical faculty in their teaching efforts in the operating room and the procedure suite. The BID model (briefing, intraoperative teaching, and debriefing) will also be demonstrated. Participants will be given the opportunity to practice the model using personal examples.
At the completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Apply relevant evidence-based teaching models when working with trainees.
- Describe the BID model.
- Practice using the BID model in an everyday setting.
When: Friday, Dec. 16
Time: 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. (Breakfast will be provided)
