Are you working on an exciting IT project? Did you recently launch a new system, service or improvement in your unit? Have you overcome a challenge in a creative way through non-traditional uses of technology, cross-unit partnerships, or soft skills? The Michigan IT Symposium committee is now accepting proposals for conference sessions to be held at the 2016 Michigan IT Symposium.

To apply, simply fill out a brief application on the CIO website by Aug. 12. Session proposals should align with at least one of the U-M IT strategic goals:

  • Collaborative research and learning
  • Unified research ecosystem
  • Learning laboratory
  • Learning health system
  • Minimal administrative overhead

Session delivery choices include:

  • Poster
  • Interactive presentation
  • Birds of a feather session

The Michigan IT Symposium, an annual event sponsored by the Michigan IT steering committee on behalf of the Office of the CIO, is aimed at creating connections between community members. The event attracts more than 400 members of the Michigan IT community from across the Ann Arbor, Flint, Dearborn, and Health System campuses. The 2016 symposium will take place the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 21 and all day on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Michigan League.
