The updated intranet site for the U-M Medical School.

The U-M Medical School has launched a revamped intranet site serving medical school administration, the 29 basic science and clinical departments and various centers and institutes. The address remains the same: msa.med.umich.edu, but users must log in with their level 1 (Kerberos) password to gain access.

Among the highlights:

  • Front-page buttons point to frequently-accessed content, including: organizational charts, policies, contact information, room scheduling, café menus and quick links to other UMHS and university resources.
  • The Policies and Forms section is divided by area (Administration, Education and Global Initiatives, Facilities, Faculty Affairs, Finance, Information Technology, Regulatory Affairs and Research) and is searchable by keyword. In addition, the Helpful Lists and Documents section provides links to valuable resources such as concur checklists and training information, the faculty handbook, medical school bylaws and information on promotions and appointments.
  • Contact information, including campus mailing addresses, email, phone and fax numbers for chairs, chief department administrators, administrative assistants and other key personnel. Users also can find links to the website and current organizational chart for each area.
  • The main page features a news section with stories, photographs and important notices.

To serve MSA, each office has its own page with information specific to its role within the school. These offices include: Education and Global Initiatives, Facilities Management and Planning, Faculty Affairs, Finance, Human Resources, Leadership, Regulatory Affairs, Research, Space Management, and Technology.
