Through the use of real-life examples, participants will learn to recognize elements that hinder understanding. Participants will also learn what language, layout, formatting and design methodologies will help learners with all levels of health literacy comprehend and retain information about their health.

Instructor: Ruti Volk, MSI, AHIP, UMHS patient education librarian. Registration is through MLearning with the course code: NURS-52431.
