Plan ahead and expect delays: Upcoming street closures and special events

Heading into the holiday weekend, please be advised that special events are set to take place in Ann Arbor that will result in road closures. If you are scheduled to work or plan on spending time downtown, be sure to plan ahead and expect delays.

Monday, July 4

Due to the Ann Arbor Jaycees 4th of July parade, the following road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • Maynard from East Liberty to East Jefferson

The following roads will be closed from 10 a.m. to noon:

  • South State St. from South University to East Washington
  • East Liberty from South State St. to South Main
  • South Main from Liberty to William
  • East William from South Main to South State St.
  • South Fourth Ave. from East Washington to Packard
  • South Fifth Ave. from East Washington to East William
  • South Division from East Washington to East Jefferson
  • Thompson from East Liberty to East William
  • Maynard from East Liberty to East Jefferson
  • East Jefferson from Thompson to Maynard
  • North University from South State St. to Thayer
  • South Main from Washington to Liberty
  • West Liberty from Main to the alley between Ashley and Main
  • Thompson between William and Jefferson

Friday, July 8

Due to the Rolling Sculpture Car Show, the following roads will be closed from 7 a.m. to midnight:

  • South Main St. between Huron and William
  • Liberty between South Ashley and South Fifth Ave.
  • Washington between South Ashley and South Fourth Ave. (except for traffic entering or exiting the Washington St. parking structure).
