Apply now: Faculty Scholars Program in Integrative Health
The July 11 deadline is approaching for accepting applications for the 15th and final cohort of the Faculty Scholars Program in Integrative Healthcare (FSP). The FSP is a unique inter-disciplinary opportunity for UMHS faculty to explore the field of integrative medicine and healthcare with other faculty from different professional schools and disciplines on the various U-M campuses. The goal of the FSP is to prepare UM faculty and clinical leaders to incorporate theoretical, scientific and clinical information related to complementary, alternative and integrative therapies into their respective fields.
The FSP involves participation for 11 days (typically a Friday each month) during the 2016-17 academic year. Between meetings, scholars are expected to complete assigned reading and work on designing an individual curriculum, research or clinical service project of their own passion related to integrative healthcare. Scholars receive mentoring on these projects by Integrative Medicine program faculty.
The FSP accepts 8-12 applicants from a mix of academic departments, schools and colleges. Evaluations over the 14 years of the program have been outstanding.
